Forbes has just released their annual list of the ‘world’s highest paid actors’ and sitting atop his iron throne spooning $15,000-an-ounce caviar into his mouth is Robert Downey Jr., who is set to make a truly asinine amount of money this year. Before we get to the numbers of Hollywood’s wealthiest and most elite, I’d like to at least acknowledge that I hate these rankings as much as you do. Reaching up on how much actors get paid to stand in front of a screen and be themselves infuriates me just as much as it does you…yet it’s one of those things where I just can’t look away. It’s like I ‘hate read’ them just so I have something to feel miserable about, and it for for that reason that I’m sharing Forbes’ 2015 list of the world’s highest paid actors, so that we can all be miserable together.
Riding the laurels of Avengers: Age of Ultron and the upcoming Captain America: Civil War Robert Downey Jr. is expected to bring in an estimated $80 million this year alone. As much as I hate some of the actors on Forbes’ list of the highest paid I can’t help but respect RDJ, because Iron Man’s one of the greatest action film characters of all time, and he’s perfect for the role.

9. Akshay Kumar — $32.5 million
10. Mark Wahlberg — $32 million
11. Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson — $31.5 million
12. Johnny Depp — $30 million
13. Leonardo DiCaprio — $29 million
14. Channing Tatum — $29 million
15. Chris Hemsworth — $27 million
To see the full list you can follow the link above. One thing I find irksome is that Leo isn’t make all of those salaries COMBINED. He should be the #1 highest paid actor in the world this year and every other year. He’s never made a bad movie, not once. The same cannot be said for Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper, and I’m not even going to begin to get into what Adam Sandler’s up to these days. The list just doesn’t seem right, 13 through 15 should be 1 through 3. I suppose it’s also worth nothing that Robert Downey Jr.’s net worth is suspected at $180 million, so this year is quite special for him in terms of earnings.
