Last year it came to be known that Universal Pictures was making a Peter Berg-directed movie based on Hasbro's classic board game, 'Battleship.' Yesterday the first teaser trailer hit the web, nearly 10 months before the movie is scheduled to be released. So, what exactly are the brave seaman fighting against on the open seas? How about a seemingly-impenetrable doomsday alien spaceship ocean fortresses, because any other remotely more plausible villain wouldn't have been Michael-Bay-y enough for a summer blockbuster. Alexander Skarsgard, Rihanna, Brooklyn Decker, Taylor Kitsch, Liam Neeson, and Josh Pence all star in the popcorn flick. That's cool and all, but what we REALLY want to know which A-lister yells, "You sunk my battleship!" during the movie's turning point, probably about 80 minutes or so in. That's what's important (our money is on the commanding officer, Liam Neeson, since it's his vessel and all). Still, the trailer gets us kinda revved up, especially since a.) Liam Neeson is THE MAN; b.) Brooklyn Decker is HOT; and c.) the warriors of the U.S. Navy doing all the ass-kicking. Here's the first look at "Battleship," which hits theaters on May 18, 2012.
