Wade Boggs was one of the most prolific hitters in the history of Major League Baseball. What was his secret? Drinking a shit-ton of beer. Well at least that’s what It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia actor Charlie Day claims.
The all-world hitter guest starred on an upcoming episode of IASIP. While he was shooting a scene with Day he allegedly talked baseball and beer with him. On the Monday airing of The Tonight Show, Charlie told Jimmy Fallon that he asked Boggs if the rumors of him drinking 50 beers a day was true, to which Wade said the gossip was false. The actual number of brewskis that Boggs pounded in one day was 107. By my calculations that’s 1284 ounces of suds, which equates to over 10 gallons of fucking beer. No way Boggs could drink that much brew in one day right? Right? RIGHT?
