E3 is happening, and Microsoft just spilled a few new details about the Xbox One. First: It's going to be released in November and will carry with it a $499 pricetag. That's in addition to the requisite $60 annual Gold subscription, and however much a second controller will cost. Start saving.
Second: A new playable Halo is coming next year. Look at that smoke. Pretty.
Finally, I thought these two pieces of news were kind of cool: The idiotic Microsoft Points have been replaced by an iTunes-esque mode of currency, and Microsoft will be offering free games to Xbox Live subscribers from now 'till November. First releases include Fable III, Halo 3, and Assassin's Creed II.
