The big movie on the JFK assassination has already been done. It was, creatively, called JFK, and Oliver Stone released it to much fanfare 22 years ago. Enter now: Parkland, another movie based off the killing of one of our most beloved (and bro-tastic) presidents, and backed by producer Tom Hanks. Parkland promises to tell the full and "untold story" of what happened in Dallas in 1963, which is a little debatable. Half the Internet is dedicated to Kennedy-Oswald conspiracy theories. The History Channel still beats that drum.
But nevertheless, when the trailer moves to the hospital where the president is pronounced dead (by Zac Efron!), the story does give chills.
Paul Giamatti plays Abraham Zapruder, the man who filmed Kennedy being shot. Billy Bob Thornton is Secret Service agent Forrest Sorrels. Efron is attempting to wipe your memory of High School Musical.
