Flashes of "How to Make it in America." Will "Washington Heights" be able to channel the energy that comes with #thedailygrind, being #addictedtosuccess, and #thestruggle?  We'll soon find out. 

Very interesting concept here, that definitely seems to be the perfect intersection of extensive market reserach. Up and comers in and up and coming area, being all "we're not there yet, but we're working on it. We're REALLY working on it." 

Gotta 'preciate. It's a narrative that we've certainly seen before, but that doesn't mean it should be overlooked--in fact, it probably means the opposite. 

Perhaps the angle "Heights" may have over similarly themed shows is the fact that it's a docu-drama. Likely the make or break aspect of the show, will be pretty interesting to see how the "Heights" crew manages to counteract staged reality with dramatic authenticity. Not sure what that really meant, but it'll be important.
