Cartoons don’t make me cry. I am a cynical, heartless bitch who thrives on the misery of others and only smiles when the cry of a distressed child comes wafting into my ears. I laughed when Bambi’s mother died and when Woody & friends were facing imminent doom in Toy Story 3 I yawned.
But The Iron Giant…I’m sitting here bawlin’ like a baby, and all I did was watch a 2 & 1/2 minute trailer. That’s how good of a movie this is.
