One of the most famous—and ridiculous—aspects of Jackie Chan's career is his willingness to perform every one of his own stunts in his films. He's suffered brutal injuries while acting them out (and almost died in 1985 after cracking his skull), and he still has trouble getting insurance companies to underwrite his movies. It's no bullshit: He's really put his life on the line for our entertainment.
Now, he's 58, and old enough to decide to ease out of the game and into semi-retirement with "Chinese Zodiac." It's an English-language heist film that promises to be Chan's last all-out action flick, and judging from the trailer, it looks like the kickass, funny movie Chan deserves to go out on.
Somewhere, Chris Tucker is praying Chan's semi-retirement doesn't mean no "Rush Hour 4." (He could use the money, you see.)
