No, not the Thor in the movies, Chris Hemsworth’s job is still safe, but in the comic books Thor is now officially a smoking hot blonde goddess.
Why, you ask? And why was this announced today on The View of all places? Let’s address the first question first…
It seems that according to io9, “this new Thor was saved by her predecessor, the former male Thor, who is no longer worthy to wield Mjolnir.”

io9 also quotes a press release put out by Marvel in which writer Jason Aaron says, “This is not She-Thor. This is not Lady Thor. This is not Thorita. This is Thor. This is the Thor of the Marvel Universe. But it’s unlike any Thor we’ve ever seen before.”
So there you have it. Thor is now definitely a woman and the first issue featuring this new Thor comes out sometime in October. What do you think?
