The Not Bootleg First Official ‘Suicide Squad’ Trailer Is HERE In Full High-Definition!!!

Contrary to the initial statement made by Warner Bros. against releasing the first Suicide Squad trailer that leaked from a screening at Comic-Con, the film studio has reversed its stance on the footage that audience members in famed Hall H were treated to over the weekend.

What does this mean for you? Well, here’s the very first official trailer for the upcoming DC Comics blockbuster IN FULL HIGH-DEFINITION. YES!

Speaking as to why Warner Bros. changed its mind and made the decision to release the Suicide Squad trailer to the general public, Sue Kroll, WB’s President of Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution explained:

Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation.

Sounds like Warner Bros. thought it best to run with the, “if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em,” approach. And we’re sure glad they did, as the official trailer paints a much better picture of the forthcoming super-villain film than the previous, blurry and bootlegged version that started going viral early Sunday morning.

Getting to actually make out stuff like Harley Quinn hanging upside-down being really freaky is a huge win for the fans here, regardless of how the decision transpired.

As previously noted, David Ayer’s Suicide Squad will boast a STAR-STUDDED cast including Will Smith as Deadshot, Ben Affleck as Batman, Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Adam Beach as Slipknot, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.

Suicide Squad won’t release until next summer on August 5, 2016. The anticipation is killing us, really, really bad.
