We could potentially make this a daily segment on BroBible: "Jon Stewart Eloquently Bashes Everyone at CNN Except Anderson Cooper." Last week brought one of the more memorable CNN takedowns from Stewart since he essentially had their show Crossfire canceled back in 2004. ("Human centipede of news." Never forget.) And, since CNN continued to screw up their reporting after famously and erroneously reporting that the BPD had a "dark-skinned man" in custody, Stewart went back last night for round two. How could you not when one of CNN's field reporters, Susan Candiotti, described an empty Boston by saying it was "as though a bomb had dropped somewhere?"
If there is a point to all the barbs, it's this: We turn to CNN when something major and violent has happened. We just do. You, CNN, have a responsibility then to report things correctly. When you jump on everything like a puppy, literally pointing out that you "hear dogs barking" and "smell smoke," which must indicate something "big" has happened, then you freak us out and cause me to Tweet shit like this. Don't cause us to freak out any more than we already are by reporting things that aren't there. You're not helping.
