4. Weapons Package
Used in: GTA III, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, GTA Liberty City Stories, GTA Vice City Stories, GTA Chinatown Wars and GTA IV
Weapons package came in handy with the RPG because typically in GTA the cheat to gain weapons was split into three different codes. Depending on what code you punched in, you’d get a different weapon. But when you entered, what you know everyone was entering, the weapons package with the RPG, you became an instant badass. You got one of the most powerful and fun weapons to use, the rocket launcher. Taking out countless enemies at a time was always amusing, or just standing at the top of a building in GTA IV launching rockets at police helicopters for pure enjoyment.
3. Rhino Tank
Used in: GTA III, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, GTA Liberty City Stories, GTA Vice City Stories, and GTA Chinatown Wars
Cheat code for PS2: CIRCLE, CIRCLE, L1, CIRCLE, CIRCLE, CIRCLE, L1, L2, R1, TRIANGLE, CIRCLE, TRIANGLE
Before Annihilator helicopters, the Rhino Tank was the best way to make the most damage without having too much pain inflicted on you. There’s nothing more fun than chilling in a tank, rolling around the streets, knocking out oncoming traffic and firing the turret wherever the hell you please. A six-star wanted level couldn’t even stop you for a while, but those damn brown telephone poles could. You definitely wanted to avoid accidentally hitting one and getting stuck in it, because you were screwed after that.
Used in: GTA San Andreas
Cheat code for PS2: L1, L2, R1, R2, Up, Down, Left, Right, L1, L2, R1, R2, Up, Down, Left, Right
Nothing says BAMF like a jetpack! The minute this cheat was discovered, you stopped wanting to walk or drive to and from missions. Technically you didn’t have to cheat to get the jetpack because it was permanently available at a certain location in the game after completing a specific mission; however, cheating was the easier way to go about it.
1. Pedestrian Riot
Used in: GTA III, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, GTA Liberty City Stories and GTA Vice City Stories
Cheat code for PS2: Down, Left, Up, Left, X, R2, R1, L2, L1
This cheat turned every pedestrian into a crazy, carnage loving freak. But you needed to be careful because if you saved the game with this cheat on, it would stay that way permanently. Trying to complete missions with random people trying to kill or carjack you was a bit distracting. There was even a way to make this riot a bit more fun, and that’s by giving the rioting pedestrians weapons. Pedestrians with weapons resulted in rockets launching, snipers on rooftops and total carnage at all times. AND, if that wasn’t enough for you, only in GTA III could you increase the carnage a little more to carnage wherever you go. A man without a leg on your right side, a beheaded guy to your left – it was a total mess of bloody fun.
