I’m not the only one picturing these two having gravity-defying sex, am I?
The two will lock lips in the upcoming Justice League #12.
It’s unclear how mere mortals in the comic book universe will take to the idea of the Man of Steel being part of a power couple — instead of with humble scribe, Lois Lane.
Not everyone, though, cozies up to the idea of the Man of Steel dating the hot-pants wearing Amazon popularized by the 1970s TV show starring Lynda Carter.
“I don't think they make a good couple,” said Nick Purpora, general manager for Jim Hanley’s Universe, a comic store in midtown Manhattan. “One's a warrior and one's a farmboy from Kansas.”
Well, there’s that … and the fact that they’re both, you know, comic book characters.
Self-righteous fans will be happy to know Superman isn’t stepping out on Lois.
The new storyline comes out of DC Comics’ reboot of its whole universe last year. Clark Kent has yet to be romantically linked to Lane, his coworker at the Daily News-esque Daily Planet. So the door has been left wide open for him to share the Fortress of Solitude with a gal who’s also more powerful than a locomotive.
