‘Star Wars’ Fan Daniel Fleetwood Passes Away At 32, One Week After Being The First To Watch ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

Sad news out of Texas today. Daniel Fleetwood, the terminally-ill Star Wars super fan who Disney allowed to watch The Force Awakens privately at home last week, has passed away at 32. Fleetwood was given two months to live after he was diagnosed with from spindle cell sarcoma in July. He was at home in hospice care with his wife and he last wish was to see J.J. Abram’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens before checking out. Disney granted him that wish just five days ago. His wife shared the news of Daniel’s passing on her Facebook page:

Daniel put up an amazing fight to the very end. He is now one with God and with the force. He passed in his sleep and in peace. He will always be my idol and my hero. Please hug uncle Marc for me and give Lucy lots of kisses. Rest in peace my love. This was the last selfie we ever took together. ‪#‎forcefordaniel‬

Fuck cancer. Let The Force be with you, Daniel. RIP.
