So here’s the thing about this video: If you haven’t watched Alex Gibney’s tremendous HBO documentary about Scientology, Going Clear, it’s not going to make a lot of sense to you. But if you have, it’s the most spot on thing you’ll watch today. I devoured it on Friday night and can’t stop thinking about how manipulative, evil, and cultish the entire Church of Scientology is. Watch it on HBO ASAP.
Last night SNL perfectly mocked the cheesy music video the Church put out after receiving tax-free religious status in the early 90s. It perfectly lampoons Church and all the awful intimidation tactics they’ve tried to pull on the “SPs” who have left the B.S. religion.
Tom Cruise and John Travolta… Why do you have to disappoint us by being associated with such bullshit?
