Uneven Steven Shia LaBeouf, whose lately had his Eagle Eye on the various Holes in the Wall Street-esque studio system, has Transformered into a whole new level of Disturbia.
As the 26-year-old actor/tortured dramatist tells USA Today, he dropped acid on set to prepare for his upcoming role in "The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman," where his character takes LSD.
LaBeouf scoffed at faux-realism in films that pretend to show drug use but don't have the balls to be honest.
"There's a way to do an acid trip like Harold & Kumar, and there's a way to be on acid," he said. "What I know of acting, Sean Penn actually strapped up to that (electric) chair in Dead Man Walking. These are the guys that I look up to."
There are method actors, and then there are "Lawless" actors. Well played, Mr. LaBeouf.
