BREAKING: ‘She’s All That’ Remake Is Happening And Rachael Leigh Cook Is Still Really Hot

Since everything else from your youth is being repackaged and turned into a current movie (Even a Play-Doh movie), it’s not surprising that they’re remaking She’s All That.

The 1999 teen romance is being remade by The Weinstein Company and Miramax. The classic high school coming of age flick will need to find two new high school jocks to turn a nerdy girl into the hottest chick at the prom.

In the original film which grossed more than $100 million, Zack Siler, who was played by Freddie Prinze Jr. and Dean Sampson, who was portrayed by Paul Walker, were trying to win over art student Laney Boggs, played by Rachael Leigh Cook.

The original movie had a star-studded supporting cast including Kevin Pollak, Matthew Lillard, Anna Paquin, Gabrielle Union, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, Usher Raymond, Lil’ Kim and Dule Hill.

Spike Lee’s wife, Tonya Lewis Lee, has signed on to produce the remake and Tony Award-winning Kenny Leon, who did the Steel Magnolias remake, is the director.

Fun Fact: The original screenplay was ghostwritten by filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan.

However seeing how sexy that Rachael Leigh Cook still is, she deserves a part.

Based on this Instagram photo from last April, Rachael could easily reprise her role of the ugly duckling turned super sexy smokeshow.

So pop up Sixpence None The Richer’s “Kiss Me” on Spotify and get ready.
