This Power Rangers Fan Film Is Twisted As Hell And MUST Become An Actual Movie

I was never into the Power Rangers. I didn’t hate the concept, I just always thought the execution was poor. The shows were shot in office complexes, the dialogue made Saved By The Bell look like Hamlet and the monsters were corny as fuck.

Now, give me a Power Rangers flick like this fan film from director Joseph Kahn and my ass is in a theater seat on opening night.

From the official Vimeo page of the Power Rangers passion project:

Deboot of the Power Rangers. My take on the FAN FILM. Not a pilot, not a series, not for profit, strictly for exhibition. This is a bootleg experiment not affiliated or endorsed by Saban Entertainment or Lionsgate nor is it selling any product. I claim no rights to any of the characters (don’t send me any money, not kickstarted, this film is free). This is the NSFW version. An alternate safe version is on youtube.

The deboot (is that a thing now? A deboot? Wasn’t it called an origin story or retcon? Eh, who cares) is pretty damn sick and involves James Van Der Beek, Katee Sackhoff and a couple other actors and actresses cool enough to act in a damn fan fiction video.

The video is NSFW — violence and potty mouths — so just keep the volume down and your cries of “OH SHIT!” to a muffle.

UPDATE: The original version was pulled off Vimeo. Here’s the SFW version on YouTube.
