Guy Claims To Have Found Extemely Rare Sony-Nintendo Playstation Prototype

Yesterday, reddit user analogueboy posted this picture of the mythical SNES-CD, the failed collaboration between Nintendo from the early 90’s.

For those that don’t know the history of this console, here’s a quick explanation. In the early 90s, Nintendo announced a partnership with Sony to create a new disc based console. The partnership between the two companies fell through and while Nintendo went ahead and developed the N64, Sony went on to launch the original PlayStation and eventually become the market leader.

What makes this story incredible is that the Reddit user claims to have found it in his father’s trash and isn’t sure how he was able to obtain such a rare prototype.

Unfortunately, the console didn’t have power cables attached and he has been unable to turn it on, but from looking at the videos and pictures it does look like the real deal.
