Yammer all you want about tracking shots and narrative structures, the real reason True Detective was such a runaway hit last year was because it had sex.
Sex.
Americans love sex, especially quality sex, and True Detective had the best sex on TV. Such great sex. But the new trailers for this upcoming season have been decidedly light on the sex.
Would Vince Vaughn do it? Would Colin Farrell do it? Would Rachel McAdams do it? Would Taylor Kitsch do it?
With the new trailer, just released, it appears we have an answer to half those questions. It appears Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch do it.
I am looking forward to it.
