In 2012 Matthew McConaughey Reprised His Role From ‘Dazed And Confused’ And No One Noticed

Matthew McConaughey has been on such a hot streak these last two years (Viva La Rust Cohle) that we forget about the time in the not-so-distant past when a string of shitty rom-coms and other flops pushed him out of the limelight for a while. Nowadays, he can put out car commercials of nonsensical ramblings and the Internet ejaculates. Things were much different in early 2012 and during that time, he did something awesome that the vast majority of America missed.

In January of 2012, McConaughey reprised his role as David Wooderson in a music video for Butch Walker And The Black Widows’ song “Synthesizers.” Did you see it when it came out? Because it’d be a lot cooler if you did. However, the official video only has 636K views, so I’m guessing most of you are like us and didn’t catch it. That’s why we’re posting it now. Better late than never to show David Wooderson in all his magnificent glory.

Here is McConaughey discussing his participation in the video.
