If, like me, you signed up for Louis C.K.'s mailing list, forgot you were on said list, and then had a minor heart attack today when you saw an email land in your inbox that was addressed from Mr. C.K., you probably just found out two things: 

1. You're also just egotistical enough to think that Louis C.K. would send you—and just you!—an email.

2. You know now when his long-awaited follow-up to "Hilarious" is airing on pay cable.

The funny email is below. The highlight? He has a new HBO special coming in April. If you missed the funny man's tour, you're definitely going to want to check out the hour-and-half of material. Still undeniably at the top of his game.

Dear haver of the eyes that are reading this,

Hello.  It's me again.  Louis C.K.  Well, my real name is Louis Szekely, but I call myself Louis C.K. because it's more "Snazzy".  And I put Snazzy in quotes because really... it's not that snazzy.

I am writing, primarily, to tell you that I've added just a few more shows to my tour.  I will be in Boise Idaho on March 6th and in Colorado Springs on March 7th.   Then on the 8th of March I'm doing one show at the MGM Grand Garden arena in Las Vegas.  That show will definitely be "Off the chain".  And I put off the chain in quotes because... it won't be off the chain.  That show will be firmly ON the chain, meaning I will be well prepared with well-honed material.

These shows are all in very large venues.  Mostly because I am squeezing in these last few performances before my HBO special, which I am shooting next week, airs in April.  After that show airs, I'll be retiring the material I am doing now, so I thought I'd like to play a few places I usually don't go to, and reach as many people as possible.  So that's why that's happening.  Also you may notice that the MGM Grand show is not being sold via my website but by traditional ticketing.  Well, I really wanted to play the MGM Grand.  I'm very excited about it.  And you know what they say about Las Vegas!.... It's... a great place to get a burger!

Okay so then the HBO special will air in April on HBO and then it'll be for sale on my website in September, for the same 5 dollars as the other one (LIve at the Beacon, still available at louisck.net) also available globally without drm.

Um, what else?  About me?  Nothing really.  how are you?  Do you hate getting these?  I hope not.  I won't have any reason to send one for  a while after this, since the tour is ending.  I wlll probably write to inform you when the HBO special is airing.  Maybe one time this summer I'll just write to say hello.  Would that be okay?
