In Understanding Art House, Evan Puschak does a fantastic job breaking down movies, discussing how directors use cinematography to convey themes, characters to express allegory and all sorts of deep shit you ignored in freshman English.
Well, don’t ignore it now, because that shit is cool. And his take on Snowpiercer, which was on the surface an obvious allegory, shows how much depth and thought director Bong Joon-ho put into the film.
Srsly. Enjoy it. Don’t be scared by the seven minutes run time. You watched Snowpiercer. That was longer. I think.
