Key And Peele Working With Vine’s Biggest Star For New Comedy Show

In July, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele announced that their hilarious comedy show would be ending after five seasons:

This is our final season – and it’s not because of Comedy Central, it’s us. It was just time for us to explore other things, together and apart. I compare it to Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor. We might make a movie and then do our own thing for three years and then come back and do another movie. I’m thinking we could do that every three years – take a year, go bang out a movie. That’s the plan right now.

We now know what one of those projects that they are exploring is. The dynamic comedy duo will write and produce a new comedy show starring Vine superstar Andrew “KingBach” Bachelor. KingBach is the master of the six-second video. He is the #1 star on Vine with more than 5 billion video loops and 14 million followers.

The show for Fox will be loosely based around one of Bachelor’s Vine personas, undercover cop. The plot will follow an undercover cop who goes back to his hometown in order to take out the bad guys who bullied him while growing up.

This is not Bachelor’s first time on television, he has already starred in recurring roles on The Mindy Project, House Of Lies and Black Jesus.

Currently, Key and Peele are working with director and writer Judd Apatow on a feature-length film. So fret not Key and Peele fans, more of their comedy is coming to the big and small screen very soon.
