Justin Bieber hosted an off-off-off night of SNL yesterday that you could chalk up to the Bieb's recent bout with food poisoning, uninspired writing, and what sounded like six female fans who screamed during EVERY SKETCH. It also didn't help that Bieber didn't know series creator Lorne Michaels' name.

Anyway, there were a few laughs to be had, despite the near-dispair that Michaels—who had to have known he had a train wreck on his hands—is showing in that Instragram. Jay Pharaoh did a killer Shannon Sharpe:

And Taran Killam won the night by killing "Protective Brother." Killam channeled Will Ferrell at his most deranged, and the line "Show me your secrets, beautiful drifter!" gave me one genuine laugh-out-loud moment in an otherwise weak show.
