John Oliver Has Had It With All You Idiots And Your April Fools’ Day Jokes

There are pretty much only two ways to feel about April Fools’ Day. You either love it or you wish it had never been invented. Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver would fall into the latter camp.

“Anybody who claims to be excited for April Fools’ Day is probably a sociopath,” says Oliver.

Calling April 1st the “the day we traditionally look at our calendars and think, ‘Oh shit, I really have to do my taxes,'” John Oliver is asking everyone to take the “No Prank Pledge.”

Why? Because “April Fools’ Day is to comedy as to St. Patrick’s Day is to Irish Culture. It is a mockery of the very concept that usually ends in a fistfight.”

He does have a point.
