Dwayne Johnson And Jimmy Fallon Go Back To 1989 And Share Wisdom At Commencement Speech

You’re going to see a ton of commencement speeches in the coming weeks, but I doubt that any of them will be quite as entertaining as this disquisition by Dwayne Johnson and Jimmy Fallon.

On Thursday night’s Tonight Show, the hilarious duo jumped in their DeLorean and went back to 1989. The two students with the lowest GPA’s, Bobby Ristick (Fallon) and Logan Duffy (Johnson), give pearls of wisdom to their fellow graduating students at Oneonta High School. And these two scholars should have much sagacity since they attended high school for eight years.

Both gentlemen have beautiful feathered hair and love for Bon Jovi. It’s all very Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure-esque, which coincidentally was released in 1989.

Bobby and Logan preach on how you shouldn’t get caught up in fads, such as computers. “You really think a dumb box of wires is going to be around in 10 years? A durrrghhh!” said Duffy.

Meanwhile Bobby shows that he’s not a great prognosticator, “Once we leave, a lot of us will never see each other again. What do you think, that one day we’re all going to keep in touch using some magical book with a bunch of faces in it? What would you even call it?” That’s when the Rock chimes in, “I’d call it a big sack of never gonna happen.”
