Harrison Ford isn't exactly known for this comedic legacy—I'm struggling to see any really funny films on his IMDB page, and no, "Hollywood Homicide" wasn't intentionally funny—but you can't help but be excited about this: The action legend signed on to "Anchorman 2" yesterday. Ford will play a Tom Brokaw-esque newscaster in the film, which is co-written by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell and begins shooting this month in Atlanta.
We still have don't know any details about the sequel's plot, except for what Steve Carrell told Jay Leno last week: "[Brick Tamland] will not evolve. He will devolve.... My hope with the movie was that it's going to be exactly the same.... Nobody changes."
But it isn't hard to imagine that Ford and Ferrell might end up as foils vying for the same network TV anchor spot. ("Good evening.... Planet Earth.")
The film is set for a December release.
