‘Hardcore’: The First Ever P.O.V. Action Movie Looks Absolutely Incredible, Even If It May Give You A Panic Attack

The official trailer for Hardcore, the first ever entirely P.O.V. sci-fi action movie, was released over the weekend and it looks absolutely incredible. The official trailer features some material that could get me in trouble, so I’ve embedded the teaser trailer above, but you can find the official trailer HERE.)  The movie looks much like a live-action video game, complete with naked girl, constant gunfire, telekinesis, explosions, and some bad ass maneuvers.

The film’s star is you. But another main player in the film is Sharlto Copley, the South African actor who was the star of District 9 and Chappie.

The official synopsis of the film is as follows:

You remember nothing. Mainly because you’ve just been brought back from the dead by your wife (Haley Bennett). She tells you that your name is Henry and congratulations, you’re now a cyborg. 5 minutes later, your wife has been kidnapped and you should probably go get her back. Who’s got her? His name’s Akan (Danila Kozlovsky), he’s just a psychotic megalomaniac with telekinetic powers, and a never-ending army of mercenaries. You’re also in an unfamiliar city of Moscow, Russia and everyone wants you dead. Everyone, except for a mysterious British fellow called Jimmy (Sharlto Copley). He might be on your side. Good luck Henry. You’re very much likely to need it…

The film will be shown at the Toronto International Film Festival and it’s released date in the United States has yet to be announced.
