Anchorman 2 began filming in Atlanta a few weeks ago, and the number of its celebrity cameos is starting to get stupid. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were spotted fighting with Sacha Baron Cohen. Harrison Ford told media outlets that he had an "easily cut" and "bizarre" role. (Han has become quite the grouch in his old age.) Kirsten Dunst and Jim Carrey turned up dressed as reporters. So did John C. Reilly, Nicole Kidman, James Marsden, Kristen Wiig, Will Smith and Liam Neeson. Seriously. Hotlanta is paparazzi central right now.
Of course, there's one more cameo I haven't mentioned yet. And he has a history with Will Ferrell movies.
Yes, Kanye West!—who has shown a complete lack of self-awareness and humor over his career (to the point that it was memorably lampooned in a South Park episode)—will also make an appearance in comedy film Anchorman 2. Says Hollywood.com, "West was spotted filming scenes on a downtown Atlanta rooftop with returning stars Christina Applegate and Paul Rudd, a source on site tells Hollywood.com. Says our witness, 'he was quite afraid of heights and required an umbrella for shade most of the time he was on the roof.'"
Of course he did. Now, for the $1 million question: Does Kanye play himself in the film? And does that mean he has a time machine? I'd be cool with that.
