Video games are getting pretty lifelike, but this fan-made GTA parody is as real as a video game can get. These brilliant Russian filmmakers perfectly recreated the 1999 video game classic Grand Theft Auto 2. They used real people and real cars, and captured the action by recorded from a drone to give it the birds-eye view featured in the game.
Back in 1999, you didn’t have the elaborate gameplay or heists, you just wreaked havoc in Anywhere City. This fantastic 4-minute recreation is nostalgic bliss and it appears that no one was hurt. The actors nailed the death scenes from the game that are usually reserved for Russian mobsters, Yakuza criminals and Hare Krishna gang members.
