W.i.P., the SoHo nightclub that played host to the now infamous Drake/Chris Brown brawl early Thursday morning, has been officially closed by the NYPD. 

A New York Police Department spokeswoman says the club W.i.P in SoHo was closed Saturday night on code violations. The NYPD did not provide details on the violations.

Chris Brown, his girlfriend and his bodyguard were among eight injured during the fight inside the club last week. Police say members of Drake's entourage stopped Brown as he was leaving. The fight escalated and bottles were thrown.

Spurs guard Tony Parker was also injured on the scene. The bottle-throwing episode is currently being pieced together by the usual authorities. Will definitely be interesting to see how both artists address the situation from a creative standpoint. Gotta assume there's at least a 50/50 chance one of their next singles will be titled "Broken Glass."

The "Wild One" known as Flo Rida was apparently distraught over the news, having apparently expressed a strong desire to shut down the club.
