David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon Filmed Their Shows Without an Audience Last Night

In dueling bizarre situations, David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon filmed their respective talk shows yesterday with nary a soul in the audience due to Hurricane Sandy.

Letterman’s program continued with a skeleton crew, at times resembling a public access show. Fallon, too, cut way back on the frills.

That’s not to say the funnymen weren’t funny. The unique situation provided plenty of material and opportunity for self-deprecation.

Here are their monologues from what can only be described as a memorable night in New York City.
