"College isn't for everyone." Lately, that phrase has come back into light as tuition costs and the job market have gone in opposite, shitty directions. Costs are up and odds of finding employment are down. Fierce competition for recent post-grads has left average (or worse) students unemployed and saddled with debt. So much so that some people are of the opinion you should either get a degree you can actually afford or skip college altogether because you don't need higher education to work at Applebee's while you try to become an ACK-TOR.
Last night, The Daily Show's Aasif Mandvi tried to scare high school students straight. And he did so by bringing in an expert, a couple thugs, and a man who racked up $170K in educational debt only to do nothing in the field of his degree.
