YESSS! Bill Murray Will Appear In ‘Ghostbusters’ Reboot!

When the idea of a Ghostbusters reboot was pitched, Bill Murray was quickly associated with the exciting project and just as fast he dismissed the idea. Even as late as November of last year, Murray poopooed the idea. “It’s really hard to recreate something that was so beautiful, so wonderful,” Murray said last year in Entertainment Weekly’s 30th anniversary reunion issue. But things are all different today as it has been confirmed that Bill fucking Murray will be in the upcoming Ghostbusters movie. I love this plan! I’m excited it could work! LET’S DO IT!

Paul Feig’s all-girl ghost-zapping team stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones. The cast also includes Chris Hemsworth as the team’s receptionist, Andy Garcia as the mayor of New York City, and Neil Casey as the main villain, as well as Matt Walsh, Michael K. Williams and Cecily Strong. Plus Murray’s fellow Ghostbuster Dr. Raymond Stantz AKA Dan Aykroyd will make a cameo in the much-hyped film. The reboot of the 1984 box office smash will have no real connection to the original films.

Murray was seen in Boston this weekend, where the new Ghostbusters is currently filming. Dr. Peter Venkman, who came, saw and kicked ass in the original two Ghostbusters may not be a scientist in this installment, but hopefully he brings his own unlicensed nuclear accelerator on his back and does some actual ghostbusting.

The Ghostbusters reboot is expected to be released July 22nd, 2016.
