Back in late January, LA gossip blog Crazy Days and Nights revealed this rather salacious blind item:

What former very high B-list actress who is now the answer to one messed up career via booze and drugs is at Fashion Week in Paris where she had a threesome with this long time A-list movie actress and her celebrity boyfriend. I wonder if she charged the guy. I bet she thought about it.

Yesterday the blog outed the Parisian threesome participants as Tara Reid, Cameron Diaz, and Alex Rodriguez. Yeah, we take this sort of thing with a grain of salt. However, if there's one B-list actress who knows how to party (there's an eHow article on this subject, for Christ's sakes) and more or less looks like a decade-long coke binge, it's Tara Reid. And, if there's one athlete/centaur that wouldn't have had anything better to do in January than a threesome in Paris with his girlfirend and a late-90s movie star, it's A-Rod. So, were the Yankee third baseman and Diaz even in Paris at the time of this blind item? To give the rumor legs, Ted Williams Head cites a People Magazine blurb from January 26, 2011:

From Miami to Paris, Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez are sticking together. The couple shared a private dinner at Le Matignon with Tara Reid and a friend. Afterward, the group headed to the Plaza Athénée for drinks, and, the next day, the two checked out the Jean-Michel Basquiat retrospective at the Muséed’ArtModerne, strolling through the museum arm-in-arm.

So, there you have it. Another “not surprising” thing to file in the perpetual myth-making that is A-Rod's off-the-field life.
