In case you were off-the-grid this holiday weekend, the biggest story to unfold on the Internet was the saga of Samantha Goudie a.k.a. @vodka_samm, the University of Iowa student who shamelessly blew a .341 BAC after being arrested during Iowa's opening game against Northern Illinois. Somehow she was able to Tweet about all her intoxicated YOLOing from jail, where she was bailed out by her Mom. She boasted about getting a .341 tattoo and playing slap-the-bag the day after getting out of jail.
Over the weekend her Twitter following exploded, proudly Rting messages from well-wishers about being the #1 partyer at the #1 party school. Thanks to shout-outs from Mike Stud and others, her totally follower count ballooned to about 20,000 when I last checked last night.
But now her Twitter account has mysteriously been deactivated. Anyone know what's up? Is Vodka Samm reevaluating her personal brand? Suddenly worried about future employers seeing her shameless drunken exploits from the first tailgate of the 2013 college football season? Does she have regrets?
Vodka Samm, if you're out there, drop us an e-mail to let us know what's up.
UPDATE: Looks like she's back on Twitter now with a new handle, @VodkaSamm... No confirmation that it's real, though:
