"Ohio State has the best damn fans in the land, and will party no matter what. We don't just come for academics, and we all know that Saturdays are for getting bucked up."
"There are a ton of great bars on campus. Out-R-Inn is one of the best dollar mug nights—on Mondays it's always packed. There's also an area called South Campus Gateway that has 3 bars in close proximity: Charlie Bear, Ugly Tuna, and an Irish style pub place that seems to have a different name every other week. Those are always a good time, mainly because the sororities are not that far away. Another place is O-patio, or as it's commonly referred to around here Bro-fratty-o which does bucket nights on Tuesdays (5 bucks for a gallon bucket of Busch or natty) which fails to disappoint. There are also some great dive bars like the Library and the Sloppy Donkey. Other than cheap beer, there are no real highlights. The frat parties are fun, but they're the same as what you get everywhere. No real innovation, and they represent a pretty small segment of the student population so they don't really have much influence on the overall party scene. The biggest parties, as I think you would expect, are during football season—the "tailgates" range from the parking lots around the stadium to Frat Row and all points in between. The area around the shoe is flooded with people, whether they have a ticket or not. The night after a win the bars are their own particular brand of crazy and the girls are normally in rare form."
"More students and largest campus than any other university leads to every weekend being a rager. 5 am tailgates for OSU football in the fall and Oval Beach in the spring."

"It's the middle of nowhere, what else do we have to do? A good party school needs three things to consistently be placed in the Top 10 of the best party schools in the nation: Huge ragers, a kick-ass bar scene, and lots of hot girls. U of Iowa has all of them covered. With over 50 bars in a 1-mile downtown radius, you'll be hard-pressed to find a bar scene you don't dig. Whether it's raging your face off to the likes of Krwella or Wiz at The Union (which holds the title of the Big 10's biggest bar), Dollar-You-Call it FAC's and Tailgates at The Summit, or 25-cent wing night at Brothers Bar and Grill, the bar scene here is truly one of a kind. Even when the city tried to pass a 21-only ordinance to keep underclassmen out of the bars, the party scene responded by upping their "best party school" ranking in the Princeton review from #4 to #2.
And let's not forget the game days. Tailgating at U of Iowa is an unreal experience. Beer bongs and keg stands on the front lawns of Melrose Court, giant-ass turkey legs, girl-on-girl tailgate mud-wrestling, and hell, we even have a TRAIN dedicated to taking people to and from the stadium. Iowa City is also a huge attraction for music artists. Krwella, Steve Aoki, Girl Talk, Dada life, Wiz, Big Sean, and T-Pain are just a few that have had shows here in the last few years. Last, but certainly not least, the girls. Iowa has a unique concoction of home-grown Iowa beauties, and those outrageously rich Illinois girls who were too stupid to get into U of Illinois and opted to spend mommy and daddy's money getting plastered in downtown IC 3-5 nights a week. I'd say roughly 8 out of 10 girls you'll see in the bars on any night Tuesday-Saturday are at least an 8 or above. Finding a hot chick to take to pound-town is as easy as throwing your FINISHED beer (we don't promote alcohol abuse here) and striking up a conversation with whichever chick it hits."

Notable Campus-wide Parties: Halloween Week, St. Patrick's Day, 4/20
"Freshman and Sophomore years revolve mostly around house parties on 'the Hill.' Lots of MIP's are handed out these years; the police are very strict on open containers here in Boulder. They are not as strict on marijuana around here, but students do get tickets, especially in the dorms. The Greek Scene really makes up a minority of the school's student population, but they have big houses and big parties. There are no kegs allowed in the fraternities, so you'll have to go to a house party for those.
"Junior year is when the party scene changes to the bars. We have an great bar scene here with over 20 bars between the Hill and Pearl St.: On the Hill, we have The Sink, The Goose, Geisty's Dogg House (a sports bar), Illegal Pete's, and K's China. Pearl Street is a 10 minute walk from campus and has the most bars and restaurants. In my opinion, the most popular places to go are The Walrus, The Attic, Absinthe House, The Sundowner, The Catacombs, Press Play, and Conor O'Neill's.
"Things to note: The Attic has a popular drink called a 'Fat Albert,' which is essentially Kool Aid and liquor. Absinthe is a dance club that plays techno music. Conor O'Neill's is a traditional Irish pub with live music. $1 Prime Rib sandwiches at the Catacombs on Fridays. Every year, the Winter X-Games are popular among Boulder students, so people head to Aspen. Denver is a little over 30 minutes away and there is a bus that goes directly to LoDo (lower downtown) for sports events such as the Nuggets, Av's, Rockies, and Broncos. Denver also has Casa Bonita, which was made famous in South Park, complete with actual cliff divers. In the summer, lots of students usually stay in town for summer school. It is very popular to go to Boulder Creek and drink/float down the creek on rubber tubes. Elitch Gardens is a theme park in downtown Denver that is also fun to go to in the Summer. Lastly, Vegas is driving distance from Boulder (about 12 hours) and I feel it should be a rite of passage for 21-year-old Boulder students."
"Because we are in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. We have the Flatirons and gorgeous girls looming in front of us everyday. Everyone is so chill, and everyone is down to smoke, drink, and party whenever. Not to mention Amendment 64! Thursday is the biggest party night so we basically have three days of partying every weekend. CU is also pretty even as far as Greek life. The frats party hard, but so do the GDI's. If you go to CU you will have no problem finding a party on "The Hill" which is less than a mile away from campus. People come to CU to party, that's the reputation."
"I can sum it up with one aimple example. A certain fraternity [name redacted] threw an insane party, themed 'Astronauts & Whores.'"

Notable Campus-wide Parties: Football Saturdays, Little 500
"One of the largest Greek systems in the country. Basketball team is good again so everyone is getting hammered for every game. Football team still sucks, which means we tailgate even harder. Last year we brought Tiesto, Alesso, Afrojack, etc to Little 500. The year before was Rick Ross, Mac Miller, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, Pretty Lights, etc. And there's Welcome Week (Wisco Week) and Little 500, where people drink from 3 am and end at 3 am the next day, no joke."
"Little 500, the world's greatest college weekend. Obama, Lance Armstrong, Lil Wayne, Jeezy, Tiesto, Rick Ross, Mac Miller, Wiz Khalifa, Nicki Minaj, and more have all been here for this just since I've been student here. (Wait... Obama?-- ed) IU basketball: win we drink, lose we still booze. IU tailgates: we may not win on the field, but we've never lost a tailgate. 40,000+ tailgate every saturday in the fall which is more people that end up in the stadium. We have a college bar on the Top 100 bars period in the nation (including Vegas, LA, NY, Miami, etc) Kilroys Sports Bar. IU is widely known as having some of the best looking girls in the Midwest and in the Big Ten. A porno was filmed on campus. Sink the Biz may be the greatest drinking game/pregame festivity ever! Playboy once left IU off their list of top party schools because they said it is unfair to 'put professionals on a list of amateurs' and this pic was taken from an apartment overlooking Kirkwood, which is where all the bars are located."

"Show up outside Tiger Stadium on a Thursday afternoon in the fall with a couple cases of beer. Don't sleep for 60 hours and you will have the whole college experience in a nutshell."
