The Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers played a thrilling back-and-forth Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals last night. The ending, however, was a bit predictable.
LeBron James drove past Paul George for a game-winning layup as time expired to set South Beach ablaze with happiness. For some reason, Pacers coach Frank Vogel kept shot-blocking machine Roy Hibbert on the bench. He really, really could have helped in that situation.
Earlier, Indiana had forced overtime on a remarkably clutch three-pointer from George. His shot was way more difficult than James’ clincher, but hey, life’s totally unfair.
