Syracuse Fraternity Suspended For Hazing Stunt That Could Cost Pledge Way Too Many Fingers

Two Syracuse University fraternity members are being charged with misdemeanor hazing after an outdoor stunt. The hazing incident coud cost a pledge four of his fingers thanks to frostbite.

The Syracuse Police Department says three young men pledging the Nu Alpha Phi fraternity were taken to a city park around midnight Saturday and made to do exercises, including push-ups and crawling in the snow, while not wearing gloves.

One of the pledges experienced pain in his hands and sought treatment Sunday. Doctors told him he may lose his ring and pinkie fingers on both hands because of severe frostbite.

The fraternity was suspended after the incident and the two brothers were arrested.

This isn’t the time of year to screw around outside, especially when the temperature drops below freezing. Keep the dumb shit indoors, dumb shits.
