There Was A Shooting In FSU’s Library This Morning, Wounding Three Students (Video)

Scary and tragic news coming out of Florida State University this morning. Just after midnight, there was a shooting at the Strozier Library on campus.

After cowardly wounding three students, the shooter was shot and killed by Tallahassee Police Department officers.

From ABC News:

Two of the victims were taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, with one listed in critical condition, the other in stable condition. The third victim received a graze wound, police said.

John Thrasher, the new Florida State University President has officially been in the position of President for all 10 days before this tragic incident on campus. He’s released a statement for all students, faculty and family:

All classes have been cancelled today at FSU in the wake of this shooting, and both the school and police are asking anyone who may have information regarding the shooter to come forward.

I cannot even begin to imagine how jarring of an experience this must have been for everyone on campus. To hear the President’s voice ring out over the intercoms like that, and have no idea if your life was in danger. My heart goes out to all my fellow Seminoles, and the families of the victims from today’s despicable tragedy.
