Former Oklahoma University SAE Levi Pettit stood in front of a podium and a very diverse audience yesterday to apologize for his recent actions. Those actions — if your memory was wiped clean in the last week — was leading a chant on an SAE-filled bus that included plenty of racism.
Whether or not it was his idea or his parents for him to publicly apologize I don’t know. What I do know is there may not be anything worse in the world than being called a racist (because you said a whole heap of racist shit) and then having to hold a press conference to atone for it. Every place in the world was probably on the list of places Levi Pettit would have rather been yesterday. That includes being on the receiving end of unforgettably violent ass play.
