Professor Gives Perfect Response To Students Begging To Get Exams Postponed

Last week, I calmly explained why students requesting postponed exams because of the stress and trauma they’re experiencing over the Michael Brown and Eric Garner cases is a terrible idea. Basically, I said it was a bullshit move.

I spent a solid hour, and seven paragraphs, making my points. I don’t feel postponing finals helps anyone. After reading this story about a professor at Oberlin College in Ohio, I might have spent way too long making my case. He wrapped up his feelings much quicker.

According to the Conservative Tribune, Della Kurzer-Zlotnick, a female student at Oberlin College, wrote an impassioned email to one of her instructors, Michael Raney about how the unfair treatment of Brown and Garner has effected her and the rest of the tiny campus community.

Here’s the email Ms. Kurzer-Zlotnick sent to Professor Rainey and his simply-stated reply.

Well, that settles that. Better start cramming, young lady.
