Ohio democrats get it. They realize talking until they’re blue in the face about the policy differences between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama will just make a lot of people glaze over. The only true way to get people to vote for the incumbent is to point out that the challenger roots for, gasp, THE MICHIGAN WOLVERINES.
This is an ad that ran in the Buckeyes’ student newspaper on Friday.
It’s a highly effective method, considering rooting for the scarlet-and-gray guys is the one thread that can bind even the most disagreeable Ohioans together.
