Being fresh out of college with a liberal arts degree sounds like a pretty good time right about now.
We have this via Craigslist. The company is unnamed, likely in order to avoid of the hordes of unemployed postgrads who'd undoubtedly spear the headquarters with fireballs and useless pieces of paper once intended for cover letters and/or the prospects of a legitmate career. (Click to Enlarge)
Doing the math, this means that if one is paid at the MAXIMUM rate of 2 cents per word, one would have to write 1,000 words per hour to make $10 an hour, AKA barely/not enough to cover a Chipotle meal if you so dare to desire a drink. To earn the "experienced" wage of $30 per hour, one would have to write 3,000 words per 60 minutes. Given an 8 hour work period, that person would have to write 24,000 words per day to earn that "livin' large" wage.
It'd be important to note here that most novels clock in somewhere between 80,000-100,000 words, which would be as little as four days on the job in this here economy. Awesome. Good thing college is cheap.
