When it comes to which college major gets laid the most, James Carville said it best: It's about the economy, stupid. In a British study of 5,000 undergraduates, Studentbeans.com discovered that Econ majors tend to get the lost play, averaging 4.88 sex partners per student. The next most promiscuous major was social work, community car, and counseling majors with 4.7 partners. Marketing landed third place with 4.5. Environmental Science majors fall at the very bottom of the list, averaging only 1.71 partners. Two important notes:
1. Important to note this is a British study that probably didn't poll very many American college students.
2. I'm not sure what Studentbeans.com meant by sexual partners. I.E.: 4.8 active partners at the same time or cumulatively over a traditional four-year college experience?
In conclusion, economics majors should probably spend some time crunching the numbers and figuring out a few new sophisms to conclude that they are, in fact, the most sexually active majors on campus.
