Dead Black Bear Found Just Chilling on N.C. State’s Campus
The Brickyard is a central meeting place at N.C. State—the equivalent to a main quad on a less-urban campus. Today, a dead bear sat on one of its benches.
Did they prop the bear up after he shot it? Like how did it get in that position? pic.twitter.com/VHRNgo9iZX

No one really knows how the 200-pound dead bear wound up doing the Bernie on a Wolfpack bench. Most think his unnaturally laid-back pose would indicate he was propped up by a hunter.
Whatever the case: early rising students had a fascinating walk to class this morning. The Dead Bear should be State’s new mascot.
