College-Specific Tinder Apps Could Be The Future And Here’s The First School To Try It Out

Tinder

Looking to bang but not travel far? And by far I mean “to a party on campus.” There’s already one college-specific Tinder app and we could be looking at the future of fornicating on college campuses.

“HeyTiger” is a new app designed by Princeton University graduate Arjun Landes to help pair Princeton alumni interested in meeting each other.

“Whether you’re long in the tooth or just a cub, download to chat and meet up with fellow Tigers and Tigresses!” the app’s description says.

HeyTiger works similar to Tinder — users input their height, graduation year, major and the eating club they belonged to (that’s Princeton fancy talk for “frat/sorority”) and it even asks users their favorite Wawa snack. Wawa is convenience store chain and there’s one right on campus. I’m shocked there isn’t a “current income” or “trust fund amount” option.

The information is filtered either by gender and age and photos appear one at a time. Tap on the orange heart (I hope it roars) and it will initiate a conversation if the other person is interested.

After alumni weekend, held this previous weekend, the app now has thousands of users and boasts “over 3K matches.”

Now, the app is available to anyone in the world BUT what good would it do to people who a) don’t go to Princeton University or b) don’t live near Princeton University. I guess I’m going to find out! (Sets GPS for Princeton. Adjusts crotch. Roars.)
