It was way back in 1999 when Britney Spears first hit our radar with her album …Baby One More Time and now, in 2014, she’s headlining Vegas. Take a look back at some of the reasons we became big fans of hers and why we still are today.

Very few artists start out their careers as well as 18 year-old Britney did as her debut album hit number one and was certified two-times platinum becoming the biggest selling album ever by a teenage artist at the time. Her second album, Oops!… I Did It Again, was released in 2000 and it too debuted at number one in the United States.
Fast forward to the 21st century and she was still the best-selling female artist of the first decade and fifth overall. Overall, from that crazy debut to her latest release, Britney Jean, Spears has sold over 100 million albums worldwide in her career.

Now in 2014 we find Brit-Brit starring in her own show in Las Vegas called “Britney: Piece of Me” which she will be doing for the next two years – a total of 100 shows. And it will probably do well, since she won Favorite Pop Artist at the 40th People’s Choice Awards just 15 days ago.
