“She’s around 10 weeks along,” the insider shares. And that’s only part of the story.
Silverman, 36, is technically still married — to Cowell’s close friend Andrew Silverman, a real estate mogul in NYC. She plans to leave her estranged husband to be with the father of her child.
“Lauren and Andrew have been unhappy in their marriage for some time, and their divorce has been in the works for a while,” a source tells Us. “As their marriage deteriorated, she and Simon became close.”
Oh, well she was “unhappy.” Why didn’t you say so from the beginning? That makes it okay then. Wait, that’s NOT the case? Hmmm.
Rather than add on to the pounding Simon Cowell is receiving, I thought we’d use his situation as a teaching moment.
If you plan on sleeping with a woman, ask yourself these three questions:
(1) Is she married? If you answered yes, that’s strike one, go to question 2. (2) Is she married to anyone you know? Like say a close friend? If you answered yes, that’s strike two. Proceed to question three. (3) Are you going to use some form of birth control so that you don’t knock her up and look like a complete douchebag if she gets pregnant? If you answered no, strike three. Game over. Please hand over a large portion of your income and savings. Oh, and some of your dignity. We’ll need that too.
